Friday Favorites: March 31, 2023 #1: Lilly Pulitzer Vacay Ready sweater . This perfectly describes my mood right now. I bought this awhile ago at the Lilly Sunshine Sale. I was going to wear it to school today but didn't think it was appropriate. I wore it to book club last night instead and I think I'm wearing it on the plane.  #2: Tory Burch Bubble Jelly : I grew up in the 80s and loved jelly sandals. These reminded of the ones I had growing up. I bought them in yellow, which wouldn't have been my first choice but they were on sale. I thought the yellow was bright and fun, and I don't have any yellow shoes.  #3: Bright nail polish: I'm usually have classic light pink nails, but vacation has me ready for all the bright colors. I was way overdue for a mani pedi, and finally was able to get my nails done yesterday. I did Essie Watermelon on my fingers and Essie Butler Please on my toes. #4: Sol de Janiero Brazilian Bum Bum Cream : I love using this after the showe...
What's Up Wednesday: March 29, 2023 What I'm Wearing I'll be wearing this in 4 days! I just ordered this Mini Thobe cover up from Pitusa. I love their stuff, although it is pricey. I splurged and I think I'll get a lot of use out of this coverup this summer.  What I'm Excited About  See above. In just 4 days we'll be on our way to Punta Cana! We planned this trip almost a year ago and I can't believe it's finally here! What We're Eating Pizza, pasta, macaroni and cheese, McDonalds....Brian is away this week and I'm just trying to survive. We are eating whatever is in the pantry/fridge and is easy.  What I'm Watching A silver lining to being alone this week is that I can watch whatever I want on TV. I've been wanting to see Ticket to Paradise for awhile and finally had a chance this week. It was really cute! The beer pong scene was hysterical, I could totally see myself acting like that! Last weekend we finished Daisy Jones & the Six....
Family Vacations We are 6 days away from our Spring Break and I could NOT be more excited! This week we are crazy busy with school, sports, and social activities, not to mention Brian is away and I'll be a single mom. Spring Break is the light at the end of the tunnel. I can't wait for sunshine and to just lay on the beach with my book and a cocktail. I've had vacation on my mind so I got the idea to review the places we've visited on our family vacations. Maybe one of these will be a fit for you and your family! Dreams Onyx Resort & Spa in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic This is where we're going in less than a week. I can't review it yet since we haven't been, but I'll explain why we chose it. When planning these vacations, I usually don't have a particular destination in mind and I'm not very picky. I just want somewhere warm, near the beach, within budget, and prefer an all inclusive when traveling with the kids. I like an all inclusive b...
 1. ST. PATRICK'S DAY: Today is my FAVORITE holiday of the year! My father was born in Ireland and my family and friends have always loved celebrating this day. In high school our parents used to let us skip school and go to the parade in NYC.  Tomorrow we're going to the parade in Hampton Bays with a few other families. I can't wait. I'll be wearing green and playing Irish music all weekend! And reminiscing about and our trip to Ireland last summer.  2. Dresses! Spring means it's almost dress time! I love throwing on a comfy dress and sandals for work or play. I'm over bulky sweaters right now. This dress at LOFT caught by eye recently. but I didn't buy it (yet). I have SO many dresses and I want to do an inventory before I buy anything new. I've also been trying to declutter and have less "stuff" which directly conflicts with my shopping habit.  3. Fair Harbor swim suits for boys . My friend Carrie introduced me to these bathing suits. He...
Let's Look: AMAZON Favorites 1.  MEROKEETY Women's Sleeveless Lace Floral Elegant Cocktail Dress  I wore this dress in the purple to a wedding and got lots of compliments. It's easy to wear, comfortable, and reasonably price. I bought it in the black too! I also really like the hunter green.  2. Mellanni Bed Sheets : I have these in both houses in almost every bedroom. They come in tons of colors and are affordable. And comfy! 3. Dishwasher Clean/Dirty Sign: This is super nifty. You just have to remember to turn it around when you load/run the dishwasher. So far it's working. My husband and I don't have to ask each other, "Are the dishes clean?" So that's a win.  4. Rocky Thermal Underwear for Boys & Girls: I buy these for my kids every year. They are great for skiing or for Jack to wear under his hockey pads.  5.  Sharpie Ultra-Fine Point Markers : These are my favorite for grading papers or writing notes. I feel like my handwriting always lo...
Friday Favorites: St. Patrick's Day edition Tis the season! If you know me, then you know St. Patrick's Day is my favorite holiday! My Dad was born in Ireland and I love everything Irish. I grew up Irish dancing and listening to Irish music. We celebrated our Irish culture year round, but especially on St. Patrick's Day. I have lots of happy memories going to the parade in New York City. Here are some things I've ordered to get me in the spirit: Shamrock Earrings   : I saw another blogger post these and I knew I had to have them. They are fun and inexpensive! I'm actually wearing them today!  Love Sweatshirt : Laura picked this out on Amazon to be her St. Patrick's Day shirt this year. It's unisex and a little longer that the shirts she usually weas (she loves a crop top!) but I think it will look cute with leggings.  Hockey Shamrock Shirt : I bought this for Jack. I thought the design was so cool!  Hockey Sweatshirt: I also bought him this. It says for b...
