Friday Favorites: April 28, 2023 J.Crew Factory New Arrivals : My friend told me to check out the new spring/summer arrivals from J.Crew, and I couldn't resist adding a few things to my cart. I ordered two sizes and patterns in the dress and shirt. I find J. Crew Factory to run big, so I wasn't sure what size to order. I don't plan on keeping everything. Here's what I ordered: 1. Ruffle Sleeve Mini Dress : I love the patterns on this dress. I also ordered the blue print.  2. Puff Sleeve Top : Also ordered this in both the pink and blue. Will see how they look and fit when they arrive and then I'll decide which one to keep. 3. Striped Squareneck Midi Dress 4. Earrings: I added these pink beaded earrings and blue fan earrings to my collection. They match perfectly with the above items and some other clothes I already have in my closet.  5.  Linen blend printed mini dress: I loved the bright colors on this dress. I have a pair of kelly green sandals that I think ...
What We're Eating This Week We started the week off strong. On Sunday night I made Mix & Match Mama's Frito Pie . It was easy and yummy. Monday night Brian made his paella. I don't eat seafood so he makes it with chorizo and chicken. Last night it was Kraft mac n cheese and leftover pizza before/after practices. The menu is only going to continue to go downhill as the week gets busier. Jack's baseball coach is taking him to Taco Bell tonight. So there you have it.  What We're Watching/Reading I started reading One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid. So far so good.  We started watching Night Agent on Netflix. I'm really into. It moves quick and I got hooked right away. Still not sure how it's going to end, which is good. And I think the lead actor is pretty cute.  What I'm Wearing It's chilly in NY this week so I've been wearing pants/jeans/sweaters. At least I don't need a jacket. On Monday I wore this Lilly Pulitzer sweater with white je...
FRIDAY FAVORITES: April 21, 2023 #1: The NY Rangers in the playoffs are definitely a favorite! We're big Rangers fans in our house and love going to a game whenever we can. I smiled going down memory lane and looking through pics from the games we've been to over the years (see below). This week we watched from home as the Rangers beat the Devils twice....and my children stayed up way too late on a school night. Tomorrow night is Game 3 and we'll be watching!  #2: NOBULL Running Shoes: I'm in need of a new running shoe and I have my eyes on these from NOBULL. I saw the hot pink ones on a friend and immediately wanted them. I haven't pulled the trigger yet because they are pricey; and I'm deciding between the hot pink and rose color. I tried them on myself, but I hear they are light weight and super comfortable.  #3: Bubble brand skincare: My 11 year old introduced me to this brand the other day while we were shopping in CVS. She is very into skincare product...
Friday Favorites: April 14, 2023 1. I was obsessed with Hello Kitty when I was growing, so I was very excited when my sister told me that Igloo came out with a line of Hello Kitty coolers ! I bought the mini 4qt and the 7qt. I can't wait to bring these to baseball/soccer games, the beach, etc.  2. Lilly Pulitzer is having 30% off site wide through Sunday. When I took out my summer dress to pack for vacay, I thought I do not need any more dresses and I definitely don't need anymore Lilly! However, I did buy one dress, the Adalee Shift Dress in black. I justified the purchase because I'm wearing it to an upcoming wedding, and it looks timeless and classic, and doesn't have a print that screams Lilly. So far I've resisted the Jilli Smocked Midi Dress, but I love it! Adalee Shift Dress Jilli Smocked Midi Dress 3. The parents of one my students gave me these flowers on Monday, and it melted my heart. It was incredibly thoughtful and I love hydrangeas. When I see them on ...
PET PEEVES: When I saw this link up this morning, my first reaction was that I don't really have any pet peeves. Then I thought about it more and realized, yes I do!  1. The word MOIST: This word is like nails on a chalkboard to me. I don't know why, but I can't stand seeing the word, hearing the word, or writing the word. My children will antagonize me by repeating the word and laughing. I know it's random, but it makes me cringe.  2. Wearing masks while driving in a car alone.  I am so grateful we've gotten to a point where masks are no longer required. I understand that some folks are elderly or have underlying health issues and still wear them. My peeve is when I see people driving by THEMSELVES in a car wearing a mask. I'm not talking about your Uber drivers, just people in a car solo wearing a mask. I've seen it, several times, and it drives me crazy. Why? I don't know....just a pet peeve I guess! 3. Cell Phones : Talking loudly on a cell phone, e...
