Friday Favorites - Lilly Pulitzer Edition

Happy Friday! My favorites this week are all from the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale. It happens twice a year, and it is my absolute favorite sale (except for maybe the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale). Every time it happens I say I don't need anything, I already have enough Lilly, and I'm not going to buy anything. And every time, I always end up getting a few pieces. The price are just too good to resist! The catch is that you can't return anything, so I have ended up with a few things over the years that I either didn't like or didn't fit. I end up giving them to friends or reselling on facebook, ebay, etc.

Here are my favorite from this year. The sale is over and most of these items are no longer on the Lilly site. However, I've noticed that the After Party sales tend to repeat the same items so if there is anything you like keep an eye for the next one.  You can also find many of these at Nordstrom or on resale sites like Poshmark, etc.

1. The Billie Ruffle Dress (Color: Raz Berry Flamingoals)

This already arrived and I love it! I can't wait for warmer weather so I can wear it. The pattern is much prettier in person and the fit is flattering and roomy (without looking like a maternity dress).

2.  Astara Dress (Color: Prosecco Pink)
This dress is another home run. The area I am most self conscious about is my stomach and this dress does a nice job of disguising it. I bought it in a soft coral color at the last sale and loved it so much I had to get the pink. Call anything Prosecco Pink and I'll buy it! What I didn't notice when I ordered it was the white pom pom trim on the sleeves - very pretty touch. The color is more of a hot pink than the picture but I don't mind it.

3. Aida Ruffle Maxi Dress (Color: Oyster Bay Blue Krillin It)
This dress has not arrived yet. I loved the blue and white pattern with the pink trim. I'm only 5'3" so I'm hoping it isn't too long. If I have to pay to have it altered that negates the point of the sale. Stay tuned!

4. Tamryn Embroidered Square Neck Top (Color: Blue Ibiza)
This hasn't arrived yet either. I'm hoping it's not super boxy and unflattering. Everything looks better on the model. I liked the embroidery and the color.

5. Girls Minisa Dress (Color: Multi Living the Dream)
The sale also features clothes for girls. I got this dress for my 8 year old (going on 18).

There were lots of other pieces I loved, but they were already sold out when I went online. Maybe that's a good thing. ;) Have a great weekend!

It has been a BUSY but fun couple of weeks around here. Today is my last day of work for awhile and I'm hoping to enjoy some down time as we head into August. I have lots of favorites to share this Friday start with... 1. ENGLISH FACTORY DRESSES: My friend has this dress and it's adorable on her. I had my eye on it for awhile and pulled the trigger when it went sale. I can't wait to wear it this weekend! Sunni Color Block Dress 2. BASEBALL LIFESTYLE : My son Jack is very into this Baseball Lifestyle 101 brand. It's all the rage with the baseball players. He typically wears hand me downs so I treated him to these shorts in blue and pink and the short sleeve hoodie. Baseball Shorts 3. CHERRIES: My obsession with cherries continues. I picked up this straw bag at a local boutique, a cute tank at Old Navy, and some fun items at Five Below.  Old Navy Cherry Tank ...
August 22, 2025 1. GIRL TIME: I spent a few days in the Hamptons with my mom this week. Brian and the kids stayed home since sports have already kicked off. Even though Mom lives with us now, we haven’t had much one-on-one time, so it was really nice to catch up. My friend Carrie was also out there solo, so we squeezed in lots of shopping! Such a nice little break before the craziness starts next week. 2. OOFOS flip flops: One of my neighbors has these and swears by them. I bought them in black and have to admit, they are VERY comfortable. I expect to be wearing these to lost of games in the fall.  Oofos Original Sandal 3. NEW RUGS: Carrie and I were both on the hunt for rugs and I ended up finding this beautiful blue one at HomeSense. The navy, red, and white rug is from Pottery Barn, and I scored it for an amazing deal on Facebook Marketplace! 3. TUCKERNUCK SAMPLE SALE: The semi-annual Tuckernuck sample sale is live and it's sooooo good. There were so many pieces I loved but I...
LOW LEVEL GOALS FOR 2025 Today I'm linking up with Erika to share our goals for 2024. I like that they are calling these "low level" goals because I don't want to set myself up for failure. I've made the mistake in previous years of setting lofty goals that weren't attainable. So here we go.... Read 25 Books in 2025: Last year I wanted to read 24 books in 2024 and I fell a little short. I think I read about 20. But this year I'm committed. I really enjoy reading so it shouldn't be too hard. The issue is finding the time. We have a vacation planned in April and I love to read on vacation. I also love hunkering down under a blanket with a good book during the colder months.  Take Online Classes: I'm a teacher and our district offers pay increases every time you earn an additional 30 credits up to 120 credits. This year my goal is to earn 30 credits (10 classes) before September 1st. A couple of years ago I earned my first 30 and I've slacking...
