BOOK CLUB: The Push by Ashley Audrain
Reading is one of my very favorite pastimes. I wish I had more "free" time to do it. That is another thing I love about summer....more time to read! There is nothing better than toes in the sand, drink.in hand, and my book. But I digress...
When we were away for our anniversary trip I had more time than usual to read. I am in a book club with some moms from town and our latest pick is "The Push" by Ashley Audrain. Without giving too much away, the main character thinks her very young daughter may have pushed another child to their death. Is her daughter capable of such cruelty? And if so, what does that about her as a mother? What if you don't love your own daughter no matter how hard you try? It was interesting, and different from most of the books I've read. I was engaged throughout the book, although it did drag on a bit towards the end. Also, they way it ended kept me wanting to know more...
In short, I recommend this book! I'd give it an 8/10. Happy reading!
