1. HALLOWEEN:

We had another successful Halloween in West Somers Park! Every year our neighborhood has a Halloween parade that ends on our cul-de-sac. We started a few years ago by opening our house for bathrooms and beverages, and now it's become a full on annual party,.

The Ladies
Jack and his crew
Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce in the house!

Check out this awesome caprese salade my friend made:

2. Night at the Races:

Last weekend Brian and I went to a Derby-themed charity event. It was a fun kid-free night out for a good cause.

3. NKOTB

Monday on Good Morning America the New Kids on the Block announced their Magic Summer 2024 Tour! I'm a member of Block Nation so I had a presale code and snagged 4 VIP tickets to their August show at Jones Beach. I am SO excited! I've seen them in concert at least 10 times now and it never gets old.

4. Mixtiles

I ordered this peel and stick wall decal from Mixtiles for our basement family room. It was so easy to make and to apply. It's easy to remove too! It would also be fun for a child's bedroom or a dorm room.

5. Jessie Ruben Art

I ordered this piece of art for above the couch in the same basement family room. I had my eye on it for awhile and finally pulled the trigger. I love it! 1It's by Jessie Ruben, a local artist based out of Chappaqua in Westchester County, NY. Her paintings are so colorful and vibrant. This print is from the Smile Collection. I also really like the Sports Collection.

6. Aviator Nation Sale

This week Aviator Nation had a major sale. I don't own anything from Aviator Nation, so I took advantage of the sale to give it a try. I ordered the 3 pieces below. They haven't arrived yet, so I'm not sure yet if I'll love them. If not, I'll return. Stay tuned!

That's all of this edition of Friday Favorites! Have a great weekend. I'll be spending mine at the soccer field and ice rink, and perhaps finally getting to see the Taylor Swift movie.
Thanks for reading!

  2. Yes! They reunited around 2008 and have been touring here and there ever since! Their concerts are so nostalgic - I feel like I'm in 7th grade again! lol

It has been a BUSY but fun couple of weeks around here. Today is my last day of work for awhile and I'm hoping to enjoy some down time as we head into August. I have lots of favorites to share this Friday start with... 1. ENGLISH FACTORY DRESSES: My friend has this dress and it's adorable on her. I had my eye on it for awhile and pulled the trigger when it went sale. I can't wait to wear it this weekend! Sunni Color Block Dress 2. BASEBALL LIFESTYLE : My son Jack is very into this Baseball Lifestyle 101 brand. It's all the rage with the baseball players. He typically wears hand me downs so I treated him to these shorts in blue and pink and the short sleeve hoodie. Baseball Shorts 3. CHERRIES: My obsession with cherries continues. I picked up this straw bag at a local boutique, a cute tank at Old Navy, and some fun items at Five Below.  Old Navy Cherry Tank ...
August 22, 2025 1. GIRL TIME: I spent a few days in the Hamptons with my mom this week. Brian and the kids stayed home since sports have already kicked off. Even though Mom lives with us now, we haven’t had much one-on-one time, so it was really nice to catch up. My friend Carrie was also out there solo, so we squeezed in lots of shopping! Such a nice little break before the craziness starts next week. 2. OOFOS flip flops: One of my neighbors has these and swears by them. I bought them in black and have to admit, they are VERY comfortable. I expect to be wearing these to lost of games in the fall.  Oofos Original Sandal 3. NEW RUGS: Carrie and I were both on the hunt for rugs and I ended up finding this beautiful blue one at HomeSense. The navy, red, and white rug is from Pottery Barn, and I scored it for an amazing deal on Facebook Marketplace! 3. TUCKERNUCK SAMPLE SALE: The semi-annual Tuckernuck sample sale is live and it's sooooo good. There were so many pieces I loved but I...
LOW LEVEL GOALS FOR 2025 Today I'm linking up with Erika to share our goals for 2024. I like that they are calling these "low level" goals because I don't want to set myself up for failure. I've made the mistake in previous years of setting lofty goals that weren't attainable. So here we go.... Read 25 Books in 2025: Last year I wanted to read 24 books in 2024 and I fell a little short. I think I read about 20. But this year I'm committed. I really enjoy reading so it shouldn't be too hard. The issue is finding the time. We have a vacation planned in April and I love to read on vacation. I also love hunkering down under a blanket with a good book during the colder months.  Take Online Classes: I'm a teacher and our district offers pay increases every time you earn an additional 30 credits up to 120 credits. This year my goal is to earn 30 credits (10 classes) before September 1st. A couple of years ago I earned my first 30 and I've slacking...
