1. Wonka Movie: We don't often go to the movies, but last week we took the kids to the Wonka movie. It was great! I didn't know what to expect and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. And of course, we needed lots of candy for this one! If you're looking for a family-friendly outing, check out this movie.

2. Chicken Meatballs in a Lemon Caper Sauce: I saw this recipe on Instagram and wanted to try it. Laura loves chicken francese and Jack loves capers, so it was a win-win. The sauce is very similar (if not identical) to a francese sauce. Laura doesn't like capers, so I went light on them and Jack added extra to his portion. It was easy to make and a big hit in my house. I'm going to add it to our meal rotation.
3. Madonna - The Celebration Tour: On Monday night I trekked into the city with 3 of my girlfriends to see Madonna at Madison Square Garden. When we originally bought the tickets, the show was supposed to be in August. I was not excited about going into the city on a Monday night, and even less excited when I heard she comes on super late. The show was scheduled for 8:30, and Madonna took the stage at 9:55pm. It was worth the wait! She was amazing! It's hard to believe she's 65. I've been a Madonna fan since I was in fourth grade so this was a bucket list concert.

4. True Botanicals Products: My friend Tara introduced me to this skin care line when we in Mt. Tremblant. Tara has rosacea like me and raved about True Botanicals. I normally don't spend a lot of money on skin care, but I decided to give it a shot and take better care of my skin in 2024. It arrived this week and so far I love it. I'm using the Ginger Tumeric Cleansing Balm, the Pure Radiance Oil, and the Phyto-Retinol Sleep Serum. They all smell SO GOOD and feel great on my skin.

Thanks for reading. Have a great weekend!

August 22, 2025 1. GIRL TIME: I spent a few days in the Hamptons with my mom this week. Brian and the kids stayed home since sports have already kicked off. Even though Mom lives with us now, we haven’t had much one-on-one time, so it was really nice to catch up. My friend Carrie was also out there solo, so we squeezed in lots of shopping! Such a nice little break before the craziness starts next week. 2. OOFOS flip flops: One of my neighbors has these and swears by them. I bought them in black and have to admit, they are VERY comfortable. I expect to be wearing these to lost of games in the fall.  Oofos Original Sandal 3.
