FRIDAY FAVORITES: March 8, 2024

TGIF! This week has been absolutely nuts. Last Friday was Jack's 10th birthday, Saturday night we had Laura's 12th birthday party, and Wednesday we had our end-of-season hockey banquet which I helped plan. Tomorrow we have Jack's nerf gun/flag football party. I am partied out and looking forward to some rest this weekend.

1. BIRTHDAYS: As crazy as it's been, I love planning parties and celebrating with the kids. Jack didn't have school last Friday so I took the day off and we drove about 2 hours to Hunter Mountain to go skiing. The weather in NY is warming up so I'm glad we got in one more ski day!
Laura had a joint 12th birthday party with her friend Dean. Laura invited all the girls and Dean invited all the boys. We had 50 middle-schoolers, a DJ, photo booth, and games to keep them engaged. It was so funny watching the boys and girls interact at this age. The party started with the boys on one side of the room and the girls on the other, but by the end of the night they were singing karaoke together.

2GEARHALO Sports Deodorizor Pods: I highly recommend this product for all you sports mamas out there. When we were at the Philly tournament, one of Jack's teammates had an equipment bag that everyone was saying smelled so good. If you've ever smelled a hockey bag - good is not a word I would use to describe it. I asked the player's parents and they told me about these Gear Halo pods you can order on Amazon. I added to cart immediately!

3.  Target Universal Threads Flutter Sleeve Midi-Dress: I saw this dress on instagram and loved it. The blue color is so pretty. It also comes in black and white. Mine arrived this week and I really like it. The dress is versatile and can be worn with sneakers or dressed up with wedges or sandals. The cut makes it hard to wear a bra with it, even a strapless, but I think I can get away without one.

I am so ready for spring and dress season! I hope everyone has a great weekend!
Thanks for reading.
xoxo

It has been a BUSY but fun couple of weeks around here. Today is my last day of work for awhile and I'm hoping to enjoy some down time as we head into August. I have lots of favorites to share this Friday start with... 1. ENGLISH FACTORY DRESSES: My friend has this dress and it's adorable on her. I had my eye on it for awhile and pulled the trigger when it went sale. I can't wait to wear it this weekend! Sunni Color Block Dress 2. BASEBALL LIFESTYLE : My son Jack is very into this Baseball Lifestyle 101 brand. It's all the rage with the baseball players. He typically wears hand me downs so I treated him to these shorts in blue and pink and the short sleeve hoodie. Baseball Shorts 3. CHERRIES: My obsession with cherries continues. I picked up this straw bag at a local boutique, a cute tank at Old Navy, and some fun items at Five Below.  Old Navy Cherry Tank ...
August 22, 2025 1. GIRL TIME: I spent a few days in the Hamptons with my mom this week. Brian and the kids stayed home since sports have already kicked off. Even though Mom lives with us now, we haven’t had much one-on-one time, so it was really nice to catch up. My friend Carrie was also out there solo, so we squeezed in lots of shopping! Such a nice little break before the craziness starts next week. 2. OOFOS flip flops: One of my neighbors has these and swears by them. I bought them in black and have to admit, they are VERY comfortable. I expect to be wearing these to lost of games in the fall.  Oofos Original Sandal 3. NEW RUGS: Carrie and I were both on the hunt for rugs and I ended up finding this beautiful blue one at HomeSense. The navy, red, and white rug is from Pottery Barn, and I scored it for an amazing deal on Facebook Marketplace! 3. TUCKERNUCK SAMPLE SALE: The semi-annual Tuckernuck sample sale is live and it's sooooo good. There were so many pieces I loved but I...
LOW LEVEL GOALS FOR 2025 Today I'm linking up with Erika to share our goals for 2024. I like that they are calling these "low level" goals because I don't want to set myself up for failure. I've made the mistake in previous years of setting lofty goals that weren't attainable. So here we go.... Read 25 Books in 2025: Last year I wanted to read 24 books in 2024 and I fell a little short. I think I read about 20. But this year I'm committed. I really enjoy reading so it shouldn't be too hard. The issue is finding the time. We have a vacation planned in April and I love to read on vacation. I also love hunkering down under a blanket with a good book during the colder months.  Take Online Classes: I'm a teacher and our district offers pay increases every time you earn an additional 30 credits up to 120 credits. This year my goal is to earn 30 credits (10 classes) before September 1st. A couple of years ago I earned my first 30 and I've slacking...
