May 31, 2024 Happy Friday and last day of May! I can't believe tomorrow is June 1st. We have 19 days of school left (but who's counting!). Last weekend we went to Hampton Bays and being out there really put me in the mindset for summer. We are ready! A lot of my favorites this week were covered in my  What's Up Wednesda y ( read it here ) post but here's a few more.... 1.  The Hamptons Crewneck Tee by Chaser : I found this tee in a boutique in Westhampton last weekend and had to have it. It is incredibly soft and feels like that shirt you've had for years. They didn't have my size but my very wise sister was with me and said I could find it online. She was right!  Tee 2. Target Sandals : I've been wearing these nonstop. The memory foam super comfortable and I can't believe they're only $25! Sandals 3. Pink cozy outfit : I picked up this cozy outfit when my sister and I were shopping last weekend. I bought it in a local shop but I found it online. Th...
We went to Hampton Bays with my mom and my sister and her family for Memorial Day weekend. Watching the cousins play together in my favorite place is always very special. As my Dad used to say, "Happy Days in Hampton Bays."  I blogged about this patio set in my Friday Favorites. This weekend we set it up on the upper deck and it is the perfect size for the space. I really love how it turned out!  We have two peony plants in our backyard. Every year around this time the flowers bloom. I love them not only because they're pretty and fragrant, but it means school is almost out for summer! On Monday we had McDonald's for dinner on our way home from the Hamptons. Yesterday Brian made boneless ribs in the crockpot and we served them over egg noodles and mashed potatoes from the box. Tonight Jack has a playoff game so we'll be eating a bagel in the car or something from the concession stand. I haven't even thought about tomorrow night yet. Some weeks I've very or...
May 24, 2024 1. NJHS: Last night Laura was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. Middle school is huge transition and she handled it so well. We're really proud of Laura and how hard she has worked this year. Congrats to all the NJHS inductees! 2. Lowe's Patio Set : I've been looking for a small patio set for the upstairs deck in Hampton Bays. We always hang out on the front porch so we've neglected the other outdoor space. I've excited to set this up over the weekend. Below is the pic I took at the Lowe's store. I copied the exact set up with the rug and pillows (except I got blue pillows instead of burnt orange).  Lowe's Patio Set 3. J. Crew Factory : I can't resist a lemon print and just ordered this dress from J. Crew Factory.  J. Crew Factory Midi Dress 4. LOFT has the cutest nautical-themed pieces. I just got these two sweaters which will be perfect for Memorial Day weekend in the Hamptons.  Fish Sweater Sailing Stripe Sweater Lobster ...
May 17, 2024 Happy Friday! Every Friday brings us closer to the end of the school year and summer! While I can't wait for the break, I'm also trying to soak in this last month with my class because I know I will miss these kiddos next year. Yesterday we had "GLOW DAY" and it was a blast! I won't ever post pictures of my students, but trust me, they loved it! I covered our windows with black plastic and we had black lights, disco balls, and glow sticks that I bought on Amazon. We did all of our work with highlighters. I found great resources on TPT and I'm happy to share more if any fellow teachers want to reach out to me directly.  1. GLOW DAY is a Friday Favorite! 2. TARGET Women's Quarter Zip Mock Turtleneck Pullover Sweater : I'm loving the "A New Day" line at Target. I've bought some of their shoes and they're cute and comfortable. I just ordered this sweater and hope it's as cute in person.  Sweater 3. TARGET Woven Slouchy S...
1. Women's Maxi Jumpsuit from Target : I went to Charleston for a girls weekend and one of my friends was wearing this jumpsuit. Everyone loved it and I think we had all added it to our carts by the end of the weekend! Mine just arrived and I can't wait to wear it.  2. FOLEX Stain Remover: Somehow in our "girl talk" we were discussing stains and my friend highly recommended this. It was another "add to cart" item for me. It says that it is for carpets but I used it on a white T-shirt and it worked! Highly recommend! I'm hoping it will also work on Jack's baseball pants.  3. Cinco de Mayo : Yesterday Laura and I did a Trader Joes haul and got a strawberry refresher at Starbucks. Quality time with my girl is always a favorite, and so is Mexican food. We celebrated Cinco de Mayo a little early with a taco bar last night. Laura even made a sign which was super cute. Hope you're doing something fun to celebrate! 4.  L-a-Sole Pom Pom Slides : Anothe...
