Happy Friday! Every Friday brings us closer to the end of the school year and summer! While I can't wait for the break, I'm also trying to soak in this last month with my class because I know I will miss these kiddos next year. Yesterday we had "GLOW DAY" and it was a blast! I won't ever post pictures of my students, but trust me, they loved it! I covered our windows with black plastic and we had black lights, disco balls, and glow sticks that I bought on Amazon. We did all of our work with highlighters. I found great resources on TPT and I'm happy to share more if any fellow teachers want to reach out to me directly.

1. GLOW DAY is a Friday Favorite!

2. TARGET Women's Quarter Zip Mock Turtleneck Pullover Sweater: I'm loving the "A New Day" line at Target. I've bought some of their shoes and they're cute and comfortable. I just ordered this sweater and hope it's as cute in person.

3. TARGET Woven Slouchy Shoulder Bag: Another score from A New Day and a dupe of the designer Bottega version. I love the size of this bag and think it will be a staple this summer. Can't beat the price point!

4. TARGET Straw Detail Belt Crossbody Bag: I saw this on a couple of influencers on Instagram and thought it was very cute. I like the black, but I wish it came in other colors like navy blue.

5. Millie's Birthday: We celebrated Millie Roo's 4th Birthday on Monday. I can't believe we've had this pup for almost 4 years. I don't consider myself a dog person, but I feel like we hit the puppy lottery with Millie. She's sweet, affectionate and wants to be around us ALL the time. Millie loves running on the beach and wrapping herself up in blankets and snuggling. The best part of having Millie is seeing how much the kids adore her, especially Laura. Millie completes our family.

6. Our 13th Wedding Anniversary: Tuesday was our 13th wedding anniversary. We celebrated by me attending a hockey board meeting until 10pm and Brian running a baseball practice! This is our life right now. We were supposed to go on an overnight to Woodstock last weekend just the two of us; but the kids had so many games it just became too complicated to get coverage. We'll do it another time when life is less busy. We did get to the Rangers game on Monday night which brings me to my next favorite!

Wedding Day: May 14, 2011
Derby Party: May 4, 2024

7. NY Rangers in the Playoffs: It's no secret we're big Rangers fans around here! On Monday Brian and I went to Madison Square Garden for Game 5. Not only did we lose, but they played terrible. I wish we saw a better game but it was still fun! Last night they defeated the Carolina Hurricanes and we advanced to the next round! LGR!

By the way, these "favorites" are in no particular order or our anniversary, Mille, and the Rangers would've been at the top of the list!
Have a great weekend!

Happy Friday! The summer is coming crashing to an end and I'm not happy about it. But I am excited for the new school year. We're in Hampton Bays for one last weekend and I'm really trying to relax and enjoy every minute of it. We have friends coming out tomorrow for one last hurrah! Here are some of my favorites lately... 1. New Wall Gallery : Earlier in the summer we did a family photo shoot on the beach. One of my summer projects was to switch out the canvases in our hallway, which had photos from 8 years ago! The kids were babies in them....it was time! I moved the canvases to Brian's office. I went with something a little more modern and ordered these acrylic frames from Pottery Barn.   2. New Balance Sneakers: I just got these 327 sneakers from New Balance. I saw a woman on the train wearing them and had to have them. I didn't realize how popular they are right now until after I purchased them. My sister has several pairs and lovs them. She wears them to commu...
Friday, November 8, 2024 1. Joe McIntrye in Drag the Musical: On Wednesday I met some friends in NYC to see Joe McIntyre in Drag the Musical. I'm a huge NKOTB fan so I couldn't miss the opportunity to see my favorite New Kid on Broadway. We had bar stool seats right on the stage! Besides gushing over being so close to Joey, we really enjoyed the show. It was funny and entertaining. Afterwards we saw Joey leaving the theater and he was super nice and happy to take photos with us.  2. Old Navy Sequin Skirts: I wore this Old Navy black sequin skirt to the theater; along with my NKOTB BlockCon tee shirt. The skirt was really comfortable and not itchy at all. I also bought the long sequin skirt in the silver color. I haven't purchased the dress yet because I can't decide on a color but it's in my cart. These pieces are affordable and perfect for when you want a little sparkle.  Old Navy Short Sequin Skirt Old Navy Long Sequin Skirt Sequin Dress 3. Target Bow Heels : I ...
July 19, 2024 We're wrapping up on second week of camp and summer is flying by....I'm trying to enjoy it instead of thinking about summer being over soon. On Wednesday my cousin Gerard and I took the train into the city to see the Irish band the Saw Doctors perform at Central Park Summer Stage. We had about a 25 block walk from Grand Central to Central Park and we popped into bars as we made our way uptown. We even made an impromptu visit to my sister at her office building. It was so much fun! The concert was great but the band had to stop after an hour because of lightning and thunder. Just as we were walking out of the park the skies opened and we got SOAKED! The train ride home in soggy wet clothes was NOT a favorite.  I have a long list of small house projects to accomplish this summer. This week I did a deep cleaning of Jack's room. One down, several more to go!  HeyNuts High Waisted Leggings:  I didn't do much shopping on Prime Day, but I did score these Hey Nuts...
