My first favorite today has to be this guy. It's Brian's birthday tomorrow and we're celebrating by having friends over tonight. I have the Kona Ice Truck coming as a surprise! Tomorrow we're going out as a family for hibachi.
It's no secret that I'm a huge New Kids on the Block fan. They played at Jones Beach and I had VIP tickets. Getting to experience their show (again) with my some of my oldest and dearest friends was one of my favorites of the summer!
I have more time in the summer to do some small home project sand redecorating. I freshened up our lounge with some new pillows and a new coffee table from Walmart. I had been eying the table for awhile and it was out of stock, and one day I checked and it was back! It says it is out of stock now, but if you're interested check back now and then.
One of the projects I did this summer was an update of our fireplace. I replaced the mantle with a more rustic one from Urbandi. We lowered the mantle so we had room for a bigger television and had shiplap installed.
This is what it looked like before:
My favorite pool and beach bag is my Bogg Bag. I have the large tote and it's perfect for lugging towels and sunscreen. The best part is that it has hold to let the sand out, and it's rubber so I can wash it with the house. There are lots of styles and colors online and they also have them at Dick's Sporting Good. This bag also makes a great gift!
I'm heading back to Charleston on Sunday and wanted something new to wear, but didn't want to spend a lot of money. I picked up these two dresses at Francesca's for 70 percent off.
Last week Tory Burch had their private sale and I picked up these shoes for the fall. Teachers need comfy shoes!

That's all. If you made it this far, thanks for reading.

It has been a BUSY but fun couple of weeks around here. Today is my last day of work for awhile and I'm hoping to enjoy some down time as we head into August. I have lots of favorites to share this Friday start with... 1. ENGLISH FACTORY DRESSES: My friend has this dress and it's adorable on her. I had my eye on it for awhile and pulled the trigger when it went sale. I can't wait to wear it this weekend! Sunni Color Block Dress 2. BASEBALL LIFESTYLE : My son Jack is very into this Baseball Lifestyle 101 brand. It's all the rage with the baseball players. He typically wears hand me downs so I treated him to these shorts in blue and pink and the short sleeve hoodie. Baseball Shorts 3. CHERRIES: My obsession with cherries continues. I picked up this straw bag at a local boutique, a cute tank at Old Navy, and some fun items at Five Below.  Old Navy Cherry Tank ...
August 22, 2025 1. GIRL TIME: I spent a few days in the Hamptons with my mom this week. Brian and the kids stayed home since sports have already kicked off. Even though Mom lives with us now, we haven’t had much one-on-one time, so it was really nice to catch up. My friend Carrie was also out there solo, so we squeezed in lots of shopping! Such a nice little break before the craziness starts next week. 2. OOFOS flip flops: One of my neighbors has these and swears by them. I bought them in black and have to admit, they are VERY comfortable. I expect to be wearing these to lost of games in the fall.  Oofos Original Sandal 3. NEW RUGS: Carrie and I were both on the hunt for rugs and I ended up finding this beautiful blue one at HomeSense. The navy, red, and white rug is from Pottery Barn, and I scored it for an amazing deal on Facebook Marketplace! 3. TUCKERNUCK SAMPLE SALE: The semi-annual Tuckernuck sample sale is live and it's sooooo good. There were so many pieces I loved but I...
LOW LEVEL GOALS FOR 2025 Today I'm linking up with Erika to share our goals for 2024. I like that they are calling these "low level" goals because I don't want to set myself up for failure. I've made the mistake in previous years of setting lofty goals that weren't attainable. So here we go.... Read 25 Books in 2025: Last year I wanted to read 24 books in 2024 and I fell a little short. I think I read about 20. But this year I'm committed. I really enjoy reading so it shouldn't be too hard. The issue is finding the time. We have a vacation planned in April and I love to read on vacation. I also love hunkering down under a blanket with a good book during the colder months.  Take Online Classes: I'm a teacher and our district offers pay increases every time you earn an additional 30 credits up to 120 credits. This year my goal is to earn 30 credits (10 classes) before September 1st. A couple of years ago I earned my first 30 and I've slacking...
