Happy Friday! The summer is coming crashing to an end and I'm not happy about it. But I am excited for the new school year. We're in Hampton Bays for one last weekend and I'm really trying to relax and enjoy every minute of it. We have friends coming out tomorrow for one last hurrah! Here are some of my favorites lately...
1. New Wall Gallery: Earlier in the summer we did a family photo shoot on the beach. One of my summer projects was to switch out the canvases in our hallway, which had photos from 8 years ago! The kids were babies in them....it was time! I moved the canvases to Brian's office. I went with something a little more modern and ordered these acrylic frames from Pottery Barn. 
2. New Balance Sneakers: I just got these 327 sneakers from New Balance. I saw a woman on the train wearing them and had to have them. I didn't realize how popular they are right now until after I purchased them. My sister has several pairs and lovs them. She wears them to commute to the city and I think they will be great to wear to school. I got this neutral color so they will with everything, but I also really like this blue color. 

3. Kanes Recovery Shoe: Jack and his friends are obsessed with these shoes. I have to say, so am I. He literally wears them everywhere - to camp, to practice, out to dinner. They're so versatile and better than crocs (in my opinion) because they are more like a sneaker. They are pricey but since he wears them all the time  I can justify the price tag. He wore them all summer and I just bought him a new pair for school. 
4: School Girl Style: I am in the middle of decorating my classroom and I love everything by School Girl Style.  This year I've combined a couple of themes which compliments one another. Teacher friends, definitely check it out!

August 22, 2025 1. GIRL TIME: I spent a few days in the Hamptons with my mom this week. Brian and the kids stayed home since sports have already kicked off. Even though Mom lives with us now, we haven’t had much one-on-one time, so it was really nice to catch up. My friend Carrie was also out there solo, so we squeezed in lots of shopping! Such a nice little break before the craziness starts next week. 2. OOFOS flip flops: One of my neighbors has these and swears by them. I bought them in black and have to admit, they are VERY comfortable. I expect to be wearing these to lost of games in the fall.  Oofos Original Sandal 3. NEW RUGS: Carrie and I were both on the hunt for rugs and I ended up finding this beautiful blue one at HomeSense. The navy, red, and white rug is from Pottery Barn, and I scored it for an amazing deal on Facebook Marketplace! 3. LOW LEVEL GOALS FOR 2025 Today I'm linking up with Erika to share our goals for 2024. I like that they are calling these "low level" goals because I don't want to set myself up for failure. I've made the mistake in previous years of setting lofty goals that weren't attainable. So here we go.... Read 25 Books in 2025: Last year I wanted to read 24 books in 2024 and I fell a little short. I think I read about 20. But this year I'm committed. I really enjoy reading so it shouldn't be too hard. The issue is finding the time. We have a vacation planned in April and I love to read on vacation. I also love hunkering down under a blanket with a good book during the colder months.  Take Online Classes: I'm a teacher and our district offers pay increases every time you earn an additional 30 credits up to 120 credits.
