WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK
With all the practices, it's been hard to have a regular dinner routine so been picking something up or having leftovers, cold cuts, pasta, etc. I'm hoping to get back on track with meal planning when school starts. This week Brian made tuna and rice using tuna we had in the freezer. Our friends in the Hamptons caught a tuna and generously shared it with us. There was so much that we ate some of it fresh and then froze some tuna steaks. Brian and Jack LOVED it!
WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING
We just started watching Bad Monkey with Vince Vaughan. He plays a detective who is on leave and not supposed to be doing police work, but he still manages to get mixed up in a murder investigation. It's funny and quirky.
We watched The Devil Wears Prada with the kids. Laura didn't want to watch it at first, but ended up really liking it!
I just finished Summers at The Saint by Mark Kay Andrews and loved it! It takes place at a resort and has family drama, romance, even murder!
Now I'm reading The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware. I'm only a few pages in so I'm not sure yet if I like it.
WHAT I'M LOVING
Jack went to golf camp this summer and it was his first time trying golf (aside from mini golf). When the camp ended, Brian took him for their first outing together. My dad was an avid golfer so seeing my boys hit the links together makes me smile.
Yesterday we made a last minute plan to visit my friend Jenna, who lives about a half hour away. She has a beautiful pool and the kids had a blast. I'm going to miss these impromptu summer hangs!
WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT
Last week I had a girls trip to Charleston to celebrate our friend's birthday. We had a blast! I was looking forward to the trip for so long that now I'm bummed it's over.
WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND
One last summer weekend in Hampton Bays, where I'll try not to think about all the work and stress that await for me next week!
Hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend!

That girl's trip sounds like so much fun! I enjoyed Summers at the Saint too.
