September 27, 2024 I could not be more excited that today is Friday. This was a long week! Here are some highlights from the week.... National Daughter's Day : According to social media, Wednesday was National Daughters Day. I can't miss this opportunity to celebrate mine. Here's Laura looking fierce on the soccer field.  Custom Sweaters from Wooden Ships : My friend Carrie was wearing this sweater at our boys' first football game and I immediately wanted one. You can customize the sweater by color and number. I got the red and number 0 for football, and blue and number 9 for hockey. On Sunday we went right from the football field to the hockey rink and I did a quick change. I got a lot of love for my sweaters which you can find here .  Kendra Scott Football Jewelry : I'm going all in on the football mom theme. I bought this necklace and earrings from Kendra Scott. I also have the soccer and baseball necklaces, and I've given them as gifts.  Football Necklace Fo...
September 2024 What We're Eating This Week Laura was under the weather with a cold so I made this lemon chicken orzo soup. I've made it several times and it's always a hit in our house.  You can find the recipe here . What I'm Excited About Last Thursday the New Kids on the Block announced a residency in Las Vegas. The pre-sale started yesterday and I snagged 2 tickets in the 4th row for the June 28th show. Brian and I are headed to Vegas! I've been there several times but not in many years. I'm looking forward not only to the concert but to our weekend away.  Speaking of concerts, Laura and I are heading to this "We Can Survive" concert on Saturday with my college bestie and her daughter. This will be Laura's first real concert and I'm excited to experience it with her.  What I'm Watching/Reading I'm currently reading The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware. I'm about a third of the way into it, and it's just okay so far. I'm hopi...
Happy Friday! This was our first full week of school and it hit hard. We went from 0 to 100 and are fully back in the swing of things when it comes to school and sports.   1.) FOOTBALL: Last weekend Jack played his first tackle football game ever! Football is not my favorite to watch, but he's having so much and I love that. Jack chose the number zero because it's "drippy." (I think it takes a lot of guts to wear 0...I'd be afraid kids would make fun of me!). 2.) BASEBALL: Last Friday night we went with Jack's travel baseball team families to the Hudson Valley Renegades baseball game. I so tired and didn't feel like going, but I'm so glad I did. It was a beautiful night for a game and I missed our baseball friends. And the boys had a blast! WELCOME SOMERS RED STORM! 3. THE PERFECT COUPLE:  This week Brian and I watched The Perfect Couple, the Netflix series based on Elin Hilderbrand's novel. Hilderbrand is one of my favorite author's and I r...
