Happy Friday! This was our first full week of school and it hit hard. We went from 0 to 100 and are fully back in the swing of things when it comes to school and sports.

1.) FOOTBALL: Last weekend Jack played his first tackle football game ever! Football is not my favorite to watch, but he's having so much and I love that. Jack chose the number zero because it's "drippy." (I think it takes a lot of guts to wear 0...I'd be afraid kids would make fun of me!).

2.) BASEBALL: Last Friday night we went with Jack's travel baseball team families to the Hudson Valley Renegades baseball game. I so tired and didn't feel like going, but I'm so glad I did. It was a beautiful night for a game and I missed our baseball friends. And the boys had a blast!

WELCOME SOMERS RED STORM!

3. THE PERFECT COUPLE:  This week Brian and I watched The Perfect Couple, the Netflix series based on Elin Hilderbrand's novel. Hilderbrand is one of my favorite author's and I read the book, but it was so long ago that I didn't remember it. The actors include Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber, and Eve Hewson, who I didn't realize at first is Bono's daughter! The acting was terrific and we really enjoyed it.

4: AMAZON DRESS: My friend at school had this dress on last week and I loved it. When I found out it was only $23 I had to get it! Even though I won't be able to wear it much longer,  I'll have it for next spring/summer.

5. LILLY PULITZER: This week Lilly Pulitzer had their annual Sunshine Sale. It's a great time to pick up some deeply discounted pieces. It's risky though because everything is final sale.  Here is what I ordered, along with some candles to give as hostess gifts:

5. TRADER JOE'S BODY BUTTER: I love all the Trader Joe's body butters and this pumpkin one has fall written all over it.

That's all. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

The baseball game sounds like fun and I need to watch The Perfect Couple! Everyone is talking about it.

It has been a BUSY but fun couple of weeks around here. Today is my last day of work for awhile and I'm hoping to enjoy some down time as we head into August. I have lots of favorites to share this Friday start with... 1. ENGLISH FACTORY DRESSES: My friend has this dress and it's adorable on her. I had my eye on it for awhile and pulled the trigger when it went sale. I can't wait to wear it this weekend! Sunni Color Block Dress 2. BASEBALL LIFESTYLE : My son Jack is very into this Baseball Lifestyle 101 brand. It's all the rage with the baseball players. He typically wears hand me downs so I treated him to these shorts in blue and pink and the short sleeve hoodie. Baseball Shorts 3. CHERRIES: My obsession with cherries continues. I picked up this straw bag at a local boutique, a cute tank at Old Navy, and some fun items at Five Below.  Old Navy Cherry Tank ...
August 22, 2025 1. GIRL TIME: I spent a few days in the Hamptons with my mom this week. Brian and the kids stayed home since sports have already kicked off. Even though Mom lives with us now, we haven’t had much one-on-one time, so it was really nice to catch up. My friend Carrie was also out there solo, so we squeezed in lots of shopping! Such a nice little break before the craziness starts next week. 2. OOFOS flip flops: One of my neighbors has these and swears by them. I bought them in black and have to admit, they are VERY comfortable. I expect to be wearing these to lost of games in the fall.  Oofos Original Sandal 3. NEW RUGS: Carrie and I were both on the hunt for rugs and I ended up finding this beautiful blue one at HomeSense. The navy, red, and white rug is from Pottery Barn, and I scored it for an amazing deal on Facebook Marketplace! 3. TUCKERNUCK SAMPLE SALE: The semi-annual Tuckernuck sample sale is live and it's sooooo good. There were so many pieces I loved but I...
LOW LEVEL GOALS FOR 2025 Today I'm linking up with Erika to share our goals for 2024. I like that they are calling these "low level" goals because I don't want to set myself up for failure. I've made the mistake in previous years of setting lofty goals that weren't attainable. So here we go.... Read 25 Books in 2025: Last year I wanted to read 24 books in 2024 and I fell a little short. I think I read about 20. But this year I'm committed. I really enjoy reading so it shouldn't be too hard. The issue is finding the time. We have a vacation planned in April and I love to read on vacation. I also love hunkering down under a blanket with a good book during the colder months.  Take Online Classes: I'm a teacher and our district offers pay increases every time you earn an additional 30 credits up to 120 credits. This year my goal is to earn 30 credits (10 classes) before September 1st. A couple of years ago I earned my first 30 and I've slacking...
