1. Friday Delay: At around 5:00am we had calls from my school district and the kids' school district, saying all schools would be operating on a 2 hour delay. I can't think of anything better on Friday! I loved sleeping in a bit and getting a head start on the laundry and my weekend to do list.

2. Kendra Scott Sale: Kendra Scott is having a 30% off sale. I bought this soccer necklace for my niece. Laura has it and wears it all the time. I also liked this initial pendant. They have great gifts for tweens and adults.

3. Trader Joes Cedar Balsam Candle: I picked up this candle last weekend and I'm obsessed with it. It makes the whole house smell like Christmas. I'm hoping to stock up when I go back to Trader Joes.

4. Marist Hockey: The first live hockey game I ever watched was my freshman year at Marist. I fell in love with the sport and for the next four years I spent my Friday nights at our home games. Last Friday Marist played Binghamton, where Brian went to college, so we made a last minute decision to drive up after school. We had a yummy dinner before the game at Zeus Brewery. Unfortunately, Marist lost so I had to hear it from both of them on the ride home.

5. Ski Season: We are ready! This week we picked up our rentals for the season. We have trips booked to Killington and Okemo....now I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that we get snow!

6. Earrings: Laura had her ear pierced when she was younger (around 5-6 years old), but closed them up because she didn't like having to take them out for soccer. Now that she's older and more responsible, she wanted to get them pierced again. She has to leave the studs in for 6 weeks but is already excited about all the different earrings she can wear.

7. Hill House Nap Dress Sale: Hill House is having a 30% off sale. I own several of these dresses and they're a wardrobe staple in spring and summer. I took advantage of the sale to grab two new pieces. I really like this pink and green pattern. My friend has the red white and blue dress and wore it in Charleston and it was adorable. These will both be coming on vacation with me in April.

That's all of this week. Have a great weekend!

Happy Friday! The summer is coming crashing to an end and I'm not happy about it. But I am excited for the new school year. We're in Hampton Bays for one last weekend and I'm really trying to relax and enjoy every minute of it. We have friends coming out tomorrow for one last hurrah! Here are some of my favorites lately... 1. New Wall Gallery : Earlier in the summer we did a family photo shoot on the beach. One of my summer projects was to switch out the canvases in our hallway, which had photos from 8 years ago! The kids were babies in them....it was time! I moved the canvases to Brian's office. I went with something a little more modern and ordered these acrylic frames from Pottery Barn.   2. New Balance Sneakers: I just got these 327 sneakers from New Balance. I saw a woman on the train wearing them and had to have them. I didn't realize how popular they are right now until after I purchased them. My sister has several pairs and lovs them. She wears them to commu...
Friday, November 8, 2024 1. Joe McIntrye in Drag the Musical: On Wednesday I met some friends in NYC to see Joe McIntyre in Drag the Musical. I'm a huge NKOTB fan so I couldn't miss the opportunity to see my favorite New Kid on Broadway. We had bar stool seats right on the stage! Besides gushing over being so close to Joey, we really enjoyed the show. It was funny and entertaining. Afterwards we saw Joey leaving the theater and he was super nice and happy to take photos with us.  2. Old Navy Sequin Skirts: I wore this Old Navy black sequin skirt to the theater; along with my NKOTB BlockCon tee shirt. The skirt was really comfortable and not itchy at all. I also bought the long sequin skirt in the silver color. I haven't purchased the dress yet because I can't decide on a color but it's in my cart. These pieces are affordable and perfect for when you want a little sparkle.  Old Navy Short Sequin Skirt Old Navy Long Sequin Skirt Sequin Dress 3. Target Bow Heels : I ...
July 19, 2024 We're wrapping up on second week of camp and summer is flying by....I'm trying to enjoy it instead of thinking about summer being over soon. On Wednesday my cousin Gerard and I took the train into the city to see the Irish band the Saw Doctors perform at Central Park Summer Stage. We had about a 25 block walk from Grand Central to Central Park and we popped into bars as we made our way uptown. We even made an impromptu visit to my sister at her office building. It was so much fun! The concert was great but the band had to stop after an hour because of lightning and thunder. Just as we were walking out of the park the skies opened and we got SOAKED! The train ride home in soggy wet clothes was NOT a favorite.  I have a long list of small house projects to accomplish this summer. This week I did a deep cleaning of Jack's room. One down, several more to go!  HeyNuts High Waisted Leggings:  I didn't do much shopping on Prime Day, but I did score these Hey Nuts...
