1. BIRTHDAYS: As of today, we officially have a teenager in the house! Laura turns 13 today and Jack turned 11 last Saturday. Jack loves cookie cake and there is a mom in our town who makes the best cakes. We get his birthday cake from her every year. She designed this one to go with Jack's paintball party theme. Laura doesn't like cake so she has a candy board, also made by local moms.


2. NY RANGERS: Sunday we went to Madison Square Garden to see the NY Rangers play the Nashville Predators. It's always special when we have a chance to see our favorite hockey team....and they won!

3. EYE MASKS: Laura is having 6 friends sleepover tonight in honor of her birthday and I bought them these masks from Amazon. They're inexpensive and got great reviews.

4. LOFT SWEATER: I love a St. Patrick's Day sweater and this one from Loft is adorable. I'm still wearing last year's version.

4. HOURGLASS BLUSH STICK in Loyal: I'm obsessed with this blush stick and use it everyday. It's expensive but it has lasted me a long time (so long I'm not quite sure how long I had it, at least several months). It was sold out at Sephora but I found it on Amazon.

    Happy belated birthday to Laura and Jack! The cake look fab and I love the candy board, what a great idea.
    Good luck with the sleepover! Hopefully the eye masks help them sleep.

Happy Friday! The summer is coming crashing to an end and I'm not happy about it. But I am excited for the new school year. Friday, November 8, 2024 1. Joe McIntrye in Drag the Musical: On Wednesday I met some friends in NYC to see Joe McIntyre in Drag the Musical. I'm a huge NKOTB fan so I couldn't miss the opportunity to see my favorite New Kid on Broadway. We had bar stool seats right on the stage! Besides gushing over being so close to Joey, we really enjoyed the show. It was funny and entertaining. Afterwards we saw Joey leaving the theater and he was super nice and happy to take photos with us.  2. Old Navy Sequin Skirts: I wore this Old Navy black sequin skirt to the theater; along with my NKOTB BlockCon tee shirt. The skirt was really comfortable and not itchy at all. I also bought the long sequin skirt in the silver color. I haven't purchased the dress yet because I can't decide on a color but it's in my cart. July 19, 2024 We're wrapping up on second week of camp and summer is flying by....I'm trying to enjoy it instead of thinking about summer being over soon. On Wednesday my cousin Gerard and I took the train into the city to see the Irish band the Saw Doctors perform at Central Park Summer Stage. We had about a 25 block walk from Grand Central to Central Park and we popped into bars as we made our way uptown. We even made an impromptu visit to my sister at her office building. It was so much fun! The concert was great but the band had to stop after an hour because of lightning and thunder. Just as we were walking out of the park the skies opened and we got SOAKED! The train ride home in soggy wet clothes was NOT a favorite.  I have a long list of small house projects to accomplish this summer. This week I did a deep cleaning of Jack's room.
