Friday Favorites-11.22.24 – A Little Bit of Everything

July 11, 2025

1. VEGAS, BABY! Happy Friday! We're two weeks into summer and it's flying by! Brian and I went to Vegas for a long weekend to see my favorite band, New Kids on the Block. It was my teenage dream come true! We had amazing seats (3rd row!), met Jenny McCarthy at her Formless Beauty pop up store, and crashed Donnie's Wahlberg's after party. The concert was definitely the highlight but we also enjoyed some pool time, ate well at Scarpetta and had drinks at 2/3 Vanderpump restraurants. Also, our friends from Somers happen to be there for a gymnastics meet so we went to cheer on our girl.

2. JULY 4th: We went right from Vegas to the Hamptons for July 4th. We had lots of family and friends there and beautiful weather. Nothing makes me happier than being with the people I love in the place I love.

3. PORTABLE FAN: I'm teaching at a reading camp this summer and one of my campers had this portable fan. I tried it and it works so well! I immediately added it to my cart. I bought it in red -  our team color. It will be great for our baseball tournament in Maryland next week.

4. BASEBALL NAILS: Speaking of baseball, some of the moms and I are doing "baseball nails" for the tournament. I'm getting mine done after camp today but here's a pic of my friend Carrie's...

Have an awesome weekend!
xoxo
Heather

  1. Oh wow! Seeing NKOTB is my teenage dream too! It sounds like you had a fantastic time and how wonderful to go to the Hamptons, it's somewhere I've only heard about through movies and TV shows.
I think I need one of those fans and the nails are so cute!

It has been a BUSY but fun couple of weeks around here. Today is my last day of work for awhile and I'm hoping to enjoy some down time as we head into August. I have lots of favorites to share this Friday start with... 1. ENGLISH FACTORY DRESSES: My friend has this dress and it's adorable on her. I had my eye on it for awhile and pulled the trigger when it went sale. I can't wait to wear it this weekend! Sunni Color Block Dress 2. BASEBALL LIFESTYLE : My son Jack is very into this Baseball Lifestyle 101 brand. It's all the rage with the baseball players. He typically wears hand me downs so I treated him to these shorts in blue and pink and the short sleeve hoodie. Baseball Shorts 3. CHERRIES: My obsession with cherries continues. I picked up this straw bag at a local boutique, a cute tank at Old Navy, and some fun items at Five Below.  Old Navy Cherry Tank ...
August 22, 2025 1. GIRL TIME: I spent a few days in the Hamptons with my mom this week. Brian and the kids stayed home since sports have already kicked off. Even though Mom lives with us now, we haven’t had much one-on-one time, so it was really nice to catch up. My friend Carrie was also out there solo, so we squeezed in lots of shopping! Such a nice little break before the craziness starts next week. 2. OOFOS flip flops: One of my neighbors has these and swears by them. I bought them in black and have to admit, they are VERY comfortable. I expect to be wearing these to lost of games in the fall.  Oofos Original Sandal 3. NEW RUGS: Carrie and I were both on the hunt for rugs and I ended up finding this beautiful blue one at HomeSense. The navy, red, and white rug is from Pottery Barn, and I scored it for an amazing deal on Facebook Marketplace! 3. TUCKERNUCK SAMPLE SALE: The semi-annual Tuckernuck sample sale is live and it's sooooo good. There were so many pieces I loved but I...
LOW LEVEL GOALS FOR 2025 Today I'm linking up with Erika to share our goals for 2024. I like that they are calling these "low level" goals because I don't want to set myself up for failure. I've made the mistake in previous years of setting lofty goals that weren't attainable. So here we go.... Read 25 Books in 2025: Last year I wanted to read 24 books in 2024 and I fell a little short. I think I read about 20. But this year I'm committed. I really enjoy reading so it shouldn't be too hard. The issue is finding the time. We have a vacation planned in April and I love to read on vacation. I also love hunkering down under a blanket with a good book during the colder months.  Take Online Classes: I'm a teacher and our district offers pay increases every time you earn an additional 30 credits up to 120 credits. This year my goal is to earn 30 credits (10 classes) before September 1st. A couple of years ago I earned my first 30 and I've slacking...
