WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO LATELY
We were buried in snow this weekend—17 inches fell in our little Westchester town! Friday night before the storm rolled in we headed to our local firehouse for Bingo night, which was a fundraiser for Jack’s upcoming hockey tournament in Lake Placid. It was a fun evening with our hockey family and a great way to kick off a snowy weekend before we had to hunker down.
WHAT I'M READING
I finished my first book of 2026, The Pumpkin Spice CafĂ© by Laurie Gilmore. It’s the first book in a charming series, and the characters and small-town setting gave me major Gilmore Girls vibes. The author’s last name is even Gilmore!
WHAT I'M WATCHING
WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO
This weekend we have two hockey games on Long Island, so we’re hosting some of our hockey friends in Hampton Bays. I’m really looking forward to spending time out there and seeing the neighborhood and beach covered in snow. It’s such a different kind of beauty this time of year. My neighbor sent me these photos, and they’re very different from our summer views.
WHAT WE'RE EATING
Brian made a beef bourguignon this weekend. It was absolutely delicious and the perfect weather for it. Recipe linked below.
